Reckless Whimsy

Ask me anything   I'd like to think that sometimes I get a little bit carried away.

Ok, Part 1 of the giveaway is now closed! Let’s get on to Part 2!
Here’s what’s up for grabs this time:
This is the second of three giclee prints that will be given away. It’s called Weepy Hair and measures 5x7” with an extra one inch white border. It’s printed on lovely Somerset Velvet paper with archival inks. See more pictures of it here.
To enter the giveaway, you can do one of two things:
Reblog (hearts don’t count) this post. (You guys don’t have to reblog with your email or any personal info! Sorry for the confusion! Just keep an eye on my blog to see if you’ve won.)
Leave a comment on this post. Maybe you can tell me why she’s weeping (or whatever, really.) If you choose to leave a comment, be sure you’ve left a way for me to get in touch with you in case you win! Disqus should allow you to leave a comment using your email address.
We’ll make this a weekend giveaway. I will choose the winner at random from all the reblogs and comments on Sunday, January 9. Then we’ll move on to the last print in the three-part giveaway.
Get going!

It’s GIVEAWAY time! Here’s how it will work this time around.
There will be 3 pieces up for grabs. They will be posted individually and won individually. This is the first print! It is a 5x5” giclee print (extra 1” white border), printed on nice thick paper that almost resembles watercolor paper. It’s called Where She Found It and can also be seen in my shop!
To enter the giveaway, you can do one of two things:
Reblog (hearts don’t count) this post, or…
Leave a comment on this post. If you’d like you can tell me what your favorite item is in either my Etsy or my Goodsie shop. Be sure your email is attached to your Disqus username or include it in the comment itself.
On Friday, January 7 I’ll choose the winner at random from the reblogs and comments! Then we’ll be in touch so I can get your mailing address to send you the print. Easy, right? After that I’ll post the next print!
Ready… GO.

"The Constitution does protect the freedom of speech of every citizen, and even of non-citizens — but only from restriction by the Congress (and, by virtue of the 14th Amendment, by state legislatures, too). There are plenty of other places where you could speak but where speech can and is suppressed. For example, freedom of speech can be and often is restricted in a work place, for example: employers can restrict your right to speak in the work place about politics, about religion, about legal issues, even about Desperate Housewives. The same restrictions that apply to the government do not apply to private persons, employers, or establishments. For another example, the government could not prohibit the sale of any newspaper lest it breech the freedom of the press. No newsstand, however, must carry every paper against its owners’ wishes."

Just restating my earlier point - and I should probably go to bed!
